Based on how Saab addressed the issue, we can apply a similar approach at KLM to enhance the efficiency of preventive maintenance. But customize it to incorporate real-time data analytics and to address the issue of minimizing unexpected downtime.

At Saab, they focused on integrating a tablet application, enabling technicians to request and input maintenance data directly onto a digital platform during a preventive maintenance task, thereby eliminating the need for physical paperwork.
